North Shore plastic surgeon, Dr. Nasim Abedi is widely regarded as an expert plastic surgeon for her meticulous precision and innate perfectionism. She employs time-tested techniques to elevate the beauty and confidence of her patients. Beyond her surgical prowess, Dr. Abedi’s compassionate and down to earth nature creates a comforting environment tailored to meet the unique needs of each of her patients.
Dr. Abedi grew up in North Vancouver and is proud to return and practice in the city that she loves. She completed her undergraduate and medical degrees at University of British Columbia. During her studies, she secured multiple awards and scholarships for her high academic performance, maintaining a 4.0 GPA. Dr. Abedi then completed her residency training in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at University of British Columbia, one of the top plastic surgery training programs in Canada. During her training she had the privilege of training with some of the best and highly regarded plastic surgeons in British Columbia and Canada.
Upon completion of her residency training and obtaining her board certification from Royal College of Physicians & Surgeons of Canada, Dr. Abedi moved to Cleveland, USA to complete a fellowship in Breast and Microsurgery at the prestigious Cleveland Clinic. During her time in Cleveland, Dr. Abedi worked with some of the world’s best plastic and cosmetic surgeons, developing additional expertise in the fields of breast reconstruction and cosmetic surgery, which she has brought back to her practice in North Shore.
Dr. Abedi currently performs her cosmetic and reconstructive surgeries at multiple hospitals and surgical centers in North Shore and surrounding areas. These include Lions Gate Hospital, Squamish General Hospital, False Creek Surgical Center, Valley Surgical Center, Skin Works in Vancouver, and Cambie Surgical Center. She remains actively involved in teaching residents and medical students at University of British Columbia training programs and currently serves as the head of the Division of Plastic Surgery at Coastal Community of Care.

Kristy completed her BSN at UBC and started her nursing career in maternal health where she spent time in the caseroom, the OR and post anaesthetic areas before finding her true passion.
In 1988, she was fortunate to get her start in medical aesthetics working for "The Pioneers of Botox" Dr Jean and Alistair Carruthers whose research helped to standardize safe and effective injection practices. Her career has spanned over 20 years working exclusively in plastic surgery clinics. She continues to enhance her skills and knowledge through attending many educational sessions, learning events, conferences and webinars. Her philosophy is to provide safe, effective and natural results allowing your inner beauty to shine outward. Kristy is highly passionate about aesthetics and committed to providing the best possible outcomes to her patients which makes her a trusted and sought after professional in her field.
